I found scalpel in the 3rd party software notice of an app i’m investigating, as far as i know scalpel is only useful for drilling into disks to recover data and analyze file systems. Is it a possible vector for the app to snoop on devices, or is the app store code review thorough enough that it i shouldn’t be worried?
I have noticed many dark UX practices from this app so i am trying to figure out every angle it could be nefarious. I have it in xcode debugger / proxied but it is taking time to parse all the output so i figured i would ask the brains around here, thanks in advance for any input.
