UK Wireless Alarm Systems than know state

After a few months research, 2-3 years ago I bought an ERA Homeguard system to self install. On the whole it’s been okay apart from some range issues of the signals.

However, one thing has continued to annoy me is that the system doesn’t seem to know the state of the sensors and only reacts to change. So for instance, if I switch the system to active mode when I have left windows open, it does not understand this – it would only detect when a window is opened whilst the system is armed.

I can understand why the system might be designed in this manner, since each sensor has its own battery. However, I can also imagine various ways this might be mitigated.

Are there any similar systems in the UK that are able to detect the states of their sensors?
