Port forwarding to localhost on a remote system

I’m trying a HtB machine where some of the internal services bind to the system’s localhost. I have a shell and can curl the local service but I’d like to set up port forwarding to these ports in order to run other tools.

I would normally use SSH port forwarding but I only have a reverse shell to netcat. I have tried Metasploit (using Meterpreter) and Empire but with port forwarding enabled, the services don’t respond. I’m assuming this has to do with the local and remote IPs both being 127.0.0.1…

Any other ideas to port forward localhost to a remote server?

View ads over a home network

I’m not sure this is the exact right sub for this, but you guys are awesome, so I figured someone might know something or at least be able to point me in the right direction.

Long story short, I want to be able to access my network’s data to view ads that have been served to any device connected to my network.

Ultimately, I’d love to be able to see which ads my wife is receiving, and which ones she has interacted with, to be able to get some gift ideas for her (you know how it is). Since it’s just the two of us on the network, I’ll be able to know which ads are targeting her and which ones are for me.

Any advice is welcome! Thanks in advance.
