Hi all. I recently began renting my cottage proprety to a friend who was in a tough spot, I figured it’d be better than her going to the streets.

In her personal situation, I think she would have a great piece of mind if I had some security cameras setup aswell as bright lights to illuminate as much as possible. My yard is about 1.7 acres, and the cottage is as far from the road as it could be. 3 to 400 feet. So it’s rather spooky at nighttime.

The cottage isn’t large, 35′ x 35′ roughly. I’d like to have lights illuminating the whole way around. The brightest lights facing north, east and west. Dimmer option for the south in consideration of the neighbour during summer months.

Not sure how cameras work I’m terms of memory… if it’d have enough memory for one night and I could simply delete it, better yet auto delete after so long that’d be fine. I’m not worried about intruders. But if something was to ever go missing, I’d like the be able to look at the footage from the night before. Thinking one camera would be enough. Everything worthwhile is on the same side of the house.

Hopefully that gives a good enough image as to what I’m looking for. As for budget, I’m far from rich, but willing to invest into this if the quality is right and reviews show they will perform well over a long lifespan. But I’d also like a more budget friendly option aswell to compare and weigh the pros and cons.
