What is a good third-party security camera app for Android phones?
I run four Amcrest IP5M POE cameras on my property. I view and manage the cameras from my desktop computer (Blue Iris) and from my phone (using the free app that came with the cameras).
Is there a third-party app for Android that I can use instead of the Amcrest View Pro app that came with the cameras? AVP is a garbage app – it is downright difficult to use, is slow, frequently crashes, and the settings will reset to default for no reason. But what do you expect for a free app?
Is there a third-party app that anyone can recommend? I want to continue using my Amcrest cameras (they are pretty good quality), but the app I currently use really limits their effectiveness, especially when I’m away from home.
I’m willing to pay for an app, but don’t want to pay for a monthly service like Ring.
