There is also an ‘ADT Pulse’ thing that looks like a router and a white router looking device hung in the basement.

My questions are: Is ADT service required to use these devices? If not, what would be recommended? Cameras appear to be POE with unplugged cables on the opposite end. Do I just add CAT 5e/6 plugs and hook them to a POE switch? What else would be needed to utilize them?

I’m going to be traveling a lot for a new job I started and I just wanted something I can use to keep an eye on my place since I’ll be gone for weeks at a time. Any suggestions?
