Replacing Honeywell 6160 Keypad with 6290W

Hi there,
My home is currently outfitted with a Honeywell security system featuring a Vista P20 panel and a 6160 keypad. I find the system quite unintuitive—having to enter multiple code sequences just to activate basic functions is frustrating. I’m considering upgrading to the 6290W touchscreen keypad in hopes of improving the overall user experience.

Before moving forward, I wanted to confirm whether the replacement process is straightforward—specifically, can I simply remove the existing keypad, connect the cables to the new one, and be good to go? Or are there additional steps involved, such as reconfiguring system settings or updating device addresses? I’m not very familiar with the system and would prefer to avoid any missteps that would break the whole thing.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
