What would it take to build a network of private security cameras to monitor the movement of government vehicles?

This isn’t illegal [in the US] — according to the Supreme Court. Government cars are publicly visible, and therefore, any citizen has the right to record them.

In response to Flock, what would it take for a private network of AI-powered citizen cameras to be erected, which kept track of government vehicles? It wouldn’t have to keep photos, just license plates.

We’d need a central server and an independent network of AI cameras (probably using Raspberry Pis). Then, those cameras could report whatever plates they see to said central server.

You could know where all government agencies were at all times, and according to the Supreme Court, it’d be completely legal.
