Last week my small dog barking and I likely scared away the burglar. We heard the door violently moving and I started asking “who is it?” with my pistol. Checked the outside camera, nothing. Walked outside and noticed a burglar broke the front door handle. I reported it. Motion camera didn’t pick him up(picked me me up immediately after though)

Our house looked vacant, but I happen to be home. I repaired the deadbolt front door. The thing is I’m usually not home.

Are there any additional front door locking mechanisms that I can apply when I’m gone? Something like addalock for the outside? I don’t mind having an additional key.

Short story is that I have reason believe our landlord is entering our property when we are out of the house.

I rent out the house and he lives in a cottage on the property.

We are leaving for the night and I believe that he will enter the property again while we are away this evening.

It is too late in the day to purchase or install a camera in the house.

Is there an app or other way I can set up my phone to record the access point for the evening, by perhaps uploading camera feed directly to cloud storage?

I don’t know if phone storage is capable of taking a 10 hour recording, what can one do?

Just purchased a house a few months ago and starting to explore it more. It has a previous ADT/Vista 20P/Honeywell 6160 setup.

Now, I have tried to reset it, to no avail. It just keeps going back to the disarmed screen (disarmed, ready to arm).

I removed the power and back up battery, ensured the panel was off, then reinstalled the power and pressed * and # but it doesn’t appear to have an effect. I tried holding it for several seconds, but nothing. Does ADT have an override or something? Is there anything else I can do to use this system? I’m mostly looking to use the alarm, no monitoring for now while I learn about how it works better.
