I’m looking to add cameras to a remote building that has wifi BUT it doesn’t reach the end of the path that would have the last camera.

I don’t think a wifi extender will work but is there a camera that can link to another camera so that I can make a chain of them? Passing the signal back to the previous camera in the chain repeatedly until it reaches the actual wifi source?

And a second question, is there a battery back up I can install in case the power goes out? That recharges via building power or solar.

I am looking for “something” that will push notifications to my phone when a door is opened. I already have some Reolink cameras set up with motion detection. But they often go unnoticed because of the frequency of alerts.

Started looking at Wyze and Ring security systems. But not sure if they will still alert when not armed.

I would like something that sends notifications even when the system is disarmed.

I would prefer something that doesn’t require a subscription.

I’m looking for a home security system without any monthly fees. I know the Vista20p is rock solid. Would add a wireless and Envsalink4 card. I’m concerned about the Vista20p programming and would rather not go to a lot youtube help for programming help. I also hear the new wireless sensors are self-registering/enrolling. Does that minimize or eliminate a lot of programming? Are there any people/companies that could pitch-in for any programming help?

I live in a transitional neighborhood, and I purchased Ring cameras. The one by the front door, which is outside but partially protected by the porch roof, is pretty much clear at all times.

However, the one by my back door, which is also outside and in the same weather conditions (but not covered) is incredibly impacted by the weather and humidity. For example, this is an image grab from this morning. No rain or snow or anything, just humidity, low temp of 52.

Is there anything I can do about this? Would a different camera perform better? I’m just stymied that the front camera and back camera have such different results.

We just need something that works. Super high quality image isn’t needed but decent HD 1080p at a distance and viewable to see clearly is all. Just as long as all is clear. One for outside by our gate and another two or three on or in the home.
