Recommendations for a system that supports self monitoring for Europe.

I have a home in a remote part of Europe. They don’t really offer alarm monitoring where the home is situated due to it being in the sticks. I currently have an ELK alarm system installed that is monitored remotely through the internet. I’ve been having issues with it lately and am thinking about replacing it with something else.

State side I love the Qolsys stuff, but that needs an Alarm.com subscription at the very least – or a backdoor setup through their control 4 api and home assistant.

Can anyone recommend any other options? I’d prefer to find something that would allow me to integrate control of things like garage doors, locks etc… into it like Qolsys can, but its not a deal breaker. Cell back up would also be great, but again, not a deal breaker.

Server Build for Wave

I install cameras and have always used an NVR. My systems are generally under 16 cameras. I recently got certified for Hanwha and realized how much better a VMS is. Problem is their pre-built wave appliances are too costly for the majority of my custom…

Looking for an in-car camera that doesn’t need wifi or cell service to record for when parked at work.

Mainly to be used due to vandalism among other security concerns during an 8 hour shift. Viewing the sides of the car would be preferable. Wasn’t sure if something like a gopro 360 plugged into a power bank would be a good option, something like a reolink/trailcam, or a more dedicated dashcam style system would work better.

Professional Opinions Needed On Wireless Reliability

DMP dealer here. We focus on commercial with the ocassional residential job mixed in. Looking for opinions on wireless transmitter performance. DMP panels, apps and software offer a lot of advantages but we have what I think is a high out of box sensor failure rate at 10%. We have noticed that Honeywell is far more reliable out of the box. I would do more residential if we didn’t have so many returns. I am looking for opinions from others. Thanks.
