French author Laurent Guyénot said in an interview aired on Channel 4 (Iran) on January 23 and 24, 2023 that Israel, its lobby, and a network of Jewish Mossad operatives are responsible for the 9/11 attack. He said that the motive behind the attack was to reverse the bad public image of Israel in the eyes of Americans and Europeans and to cause them to have a negative opinion of Arabs so that they will follow an “imperialistic” Zionist plan to start a world war. Guyénot also said that the Israel “lobby” is a source of corruption. Lebanese international affairs expert Abdo Laqis spoke about the recent Quran-burning protest attended by Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan in a January 23, 2023 show on Al-Masirah TV (Houthis-Yemen). He claimed that the Swedes engage in human trafficking and “sell” the children of Muslim refugees to homosexual families who rape them and “rent them out for disgraceful and immoral acts.” Laqis also said that Muslims don’t need Western countries, but that the West needs Muslim countries because of their resources.

Iranian expert on the Middle East Dr. Masoud Asadollahi said in a January 22, 2023 show on Al-Etejah TV (Iraq) warned that if Britain and the E.U. designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization, Iran will “respond in kind.” He said that Iran could in turn designate the British army as a “terrorist army,” that the world’s fuel reserves are close to Iran, and that international supporters of Iran could retaliate, similarly to the young man who recently stabbed Salman Rushdie. Asadollahi warned against playing with fire, saying that the fire might spread all over the region and the world.

On January 20, 2023, dissident Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad tweeted footage of protests in Zahedan, Iran following Friday sermons. Based on the footage, thousands of people attended the protests. The protestors chanted “I will kill whoever killed my brother!”, “Death to Khamenei!”, “Mullahs should get lost!”, “Basiji and IRGC, you are our ISIS!”, “Khamenei – have some honor and leave the country!”, and “This is the year of bloody [uprising]!”

Iranian religious scholar Naser Naghavian said in an interview that was uploaded to the DidarNews.ir website on November 28, 2022 that at least 50% of Iranians are object to the policies of the regime, and that the regime has deeper problems than women not wearing hijabs. He said that the regime should use its morality police to fight the incompetence, inefficiency, and bribery in the government agencies, and he pointed out that there has never been a referendum to determine the Iranian people’s preferred policy towards the United States, which might in fact be conciliatory. Former Lebanese Interior Minister Marwan Charbel said on a January 8, 2023 show on NBN TV (Lebanon) that if the Americans want to give Israel some relief from Hizbullah, than they should establish a Palestinian state and have Israel withdraw from the Shebaa Farms, since this would unite the Lebanese people against Hizbullah. He said that all Lebanese people reject America’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He also asked how Christians are expected to normalize relations with Israel, which considers them to be its number-one enemy because they believe that the Jews killed Jesus. IRGC Commander-in-Chief General Hossein Salami said in a January 14, 2023 public address in which he spoke about the publication of cartoons mocking Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei by French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, that the Muslims will “sooner or later” exact revenge, like they had against author Salman Rushdie. He added: “Do not mess with the Muslims.” General Salami’s address aired on Hamoon TV (Iran).

Lebanese fortune teller and “energy science” expert Dr. Mike Feghaly said in a January 6, 2023 interview on OTV (Lebanon) that Israel will collapse in 2023 or 2024 and not in 2022 as he had previously predicted. He said that the “maximal limit” of Israel’s existence is 2024, and he explained that the new Israeli government is “the beginning of Israel’s end.” Referring to Israel as the “Great Satanic entity”, Feghaly said: “They have dug their grave [in 2022]. In 2023, they will open the door, and in the end of 2023 or in 2024, they will go in.”

On January 4 and January 8, 2023, Channel 4 (Iran) aired an interview with British Bishop Richard Nelson Williamson. Williamson said that the Jews control the media, that they “twist” people’s minds, and that they have cleverly taken control of universities and the media. He also said that the Holocaust was a “myth”, that the Jews have replaced “objective” history with their “emotional scenario” about the Holocaust, and that only around 100,000 Jews were actually killed. PLO Executive Committee Secretary-General Hussein Al-Sheikh said at a January 7, 2023 ceremony marking Palestinian Martyr’s Day that the Palestinian “martyrs” and prisoners and their families are the Palestinian people’s “most precious jewel”. He said that they are a “red line” and that the Palestinians will spend every last penny on them and on their families. The ceremony was aired on Awda TV (Palestinian Authority).
