Rep. Kevin McCarthy promised to to hold Biden’s 87,000 IRS agents accountable and late on January 9, 2023, the House of Representatives voted to rescind over $70 billion to the IRS in the first bill under the 118th Congress. The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act passed on party lines with a 221-210 vote.
